A SENSE OF PLACE
Odette Campbell is a photographer and Artist whose practice is rooted in travel, hospitality, and the quiet poetry of place. She brings a refined sensitivity to her lens, capturing not only the physicality of spaces but the emotions they evoke.
This body of work, titled A Sense of Place, explores the dialogue between environment and feeling. Presented in black and white, the images strip away distraction and detail, allowing atmosphere and essence to take precedence over ornament. Each photograph becomes less about the literal and more about the mood, how a space holds memory, how light and shadow shape perception, how simplicity can open the door to reflection.
As a travel and hotel photographer, Odette has always been drawn to the intersection between landscape and human experience.
A Sense of Place extends this pursuit, asking viewers to consider how places shape us, and how in turn, we imprint ourselves upon them.
